Turmeric Smoothie

Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan Prep:
5 Minutes
Makes 2 servings (About 1 cup or 8 fluid ounces each)


  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, or milk alternative
  • 1 Tablespoon almond butter
  • ½ peeled and sliced banana
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh grated turmeric (or 2 teaspoons dried turmeric)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (can substitute ½ teaspoon dried)
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of fresh ground black pepper


  1. Place ingredients in the blender, in the order listed.
  2. Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides of the jar with a spatula, if needed.
  3. Blend on high speed for 15 seconds to fully mix.
  4. Serve immediately.
