Your Bowel Terrain and Immunity

Several factors affect the bowel terrain. It is critical for you to understand these factors and how it affects your overall immunity.

Exposure to bacteria, parasites, and amoeba affect the integrity of your bowel.

Poor digestion can alter the metabolism of foods and alter your ability to absorb nutrients. Low acid (HCl) in your gut may contribute to allowing pathogens into your small intestines, further disrupting the bowel terrain.

Stress has a tremendous impact on our biochemistry. Through increasing histamine release and exhausted adrenals (your organ that responds to stress), we influence this bowel terrain into a state of low oxygenation(acidity). When this occurs, pathogens win the war and intestinal fermentation begins.
