About Us

Dr. Susan graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in History.  She has a deep understanding of integrity first, service above self, and excellence in all we do: Air Force Academy words to live and practice by.  While on active duty, she completed a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the United States Sports Academy.

With a continued dedication to serving others, Dr. Susan M. Clark received her Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in December 2003 from Life College of Chiropractic in West Hayward, California. This degree represents four (of the ten) academic years of professional study.  She has expanded knowledge into functional medicine with an understanding of genetics, focusing on a nutrigenomic approach to the whole person healing concept from soft tissue to the brain.

Her dedicated approach to her patients is one where she truly listens and helps to find the root cause of the problem, not just cover up symptoms; a 360-degree viewpoint. Chiropractically, she applies the Active Release Technique soft tissue protocol and Graston Technique to expedite patient recovery. Dr. Clark believes that the more you know about your body, the better you can take care of your own health. You can chart your own pattern of success towards living long. She believes that there is a time and place for medicine, but that there are many effective treatment methods that can be used before a patient’s health gets to that point. No one patient is the same. Practitioners need to think dynamically to give patients a personalized approach to their health span journey.

Epigenetic Age

Epigenetic age measures how fast your body is actually aging on a cellular level, which may be younger or older than your chronological age. It’s calculated by looking at DNA methylation patterns—tiny chemical changes that influence how your genes are expressed over time.

Testing your epigenetic age is important because it provides a powerful snapshot of your true biological aging process. It can reveal whether lifestyle choices, stress, diet, sleep, toxins, or chronic inflammation are accelerating aging—and whether your current health strategies are effectively slowing it down.

Gut Testing

Your gut is more than just digestion—it’s central to your overall health. The gut microbiome influences nutrient absorption, immune function, inflammation, energy levels, mood, and even hormone balance. When the gut is out of balance, it can contribute to digestive issues, fatigue, skin problems, food sensitivities, autoimmunity, and chronic disease.

Gut testing identifies imbalances, hidden infections, inflammation, and microbiome diversity, giving you a clear picture of how your digestive health impacts your whole body. With this knowledge, you can make targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes that strengthen immunity, improve energy, reduce inflammation, and support long-term wellness.

Hormone Testing

Hormones act as the body’s chemical messengers, regulating energy, sleep, mood, metabolism, muscle strength, bone density, and even how we age. When hormones are out of balance, it can lead to fatigue, weight changes, brain fog, low libido, poor recovery, or increased risk of chronic disease.

Hormone testing helps uncover these imbalances so you can take targeted steps—through lifestyle, nutrition, or medical support—to restore balance, improve performance, and protect long-term health.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing, in particular blood work shows what your day-to-day impact is on your genes.  Just because you have a genetic variant doesn’t mean it is getting expressed; we call this epigenetic changes and laboratory testing is the best means to figure this out.  Laboratory testing helps guide your genetic panel towards actionable lifestyle changes.

This lab testing is for those of you who have not had blood work taken in a while or have had a less than comprehensive panel taken.  If you want to use your insurance to cover your blood work, ask for at least a one-time consultation with Longevity Lab Subscription. If you know your blood work is not covered, this is the best discount alternative to get tested.
